Small Rocks
This booklet was produced by Commonword in partnership with RAPAR (Refugee and Asylum Participatory Action Research) and CAN (Community Arts Northwest) and published in 2010. People who have been made destitute by the British asylum system share their stories, musings and experiences of life both in the UK and back home. Some pieces are fictionalised or published under pseudonyms to protect the identity of contributors who at the time had —and may still have— precarious immigration status.
BICA-ACA Books
BICA-ACA was a partnership between Tameside’s (a borough of Greater Manchester) local authority arts unit, Black Issues in Community Arts and the local community organisation Asian Community Arts. It published Untold Words, a collection of poems in Bengali and English written by British Bangladeshis.
